When Britney's third video came out, it was very
different. Change is usually always good, but enhancing the
quality of something is even better. The Stop Remix! is a whole
new side to the second track from the ... Baby One More Time
album, even more upbeat and catchy as before. Definitely one of
the greatest dance videos of all time, this video could very
easily be compared to videos that are as highly anticipated as
Stronger was.

Video Sequence: Third Video Video Length: 3:17 Video Shooting Time: 2 Days Producer: Nigel Dick Setting: The setting of this video takes place in a wild nightclub that is colorful and crazy, and very wonderfully put together. It was all filmed and done in at Redondo Power Station in California. Plot: Britney said the plot to this video best, when she explained that "Me and my girlfriends are at this club and we're dorky waitresses. Then we see a cute guy and decide that we're gonna change and get his attention. So we changed our clothes, our attitude, and we really start dancing!" Couldn't explain it better myself. Guest Appearances: Melissa Joan Hart, better known as "Sabrina" from the hit ABC series "Sabrina : The Teenage Witch" makes a cameo appearance here and dances with everyone else in the background, as well as walks with Britney during one of her waitress scenes. She also was there promoting her movie that went side-by-side with the video called "Drive Me Crazy". MTV Making the Video: You can check out 59 video captures from MTV's Making the Video : (You Drive Me) Crazy. Pretty good bit here all in all, especially the dancer tryout footage and actual shooting scenes. Dancer Tryouts: Dancer tryouts were held for this video because of the major need for more dancers dancing with Britney at one time. The dancers danced for several hours, with only the best being kept. Expenses: This video was one of the most expensive ones that Britney has ever done, because of the large set and safety issues that had to be dealt with. Safety Issues: The directors of the video had a safety meeting before the video shoot because the set was very complicated. You could easily compare the set of the video as a big slippery construction site, which means if something fell or broke, there could be big big trouble. The filming crew and staff had to wear hard hats, which are hats construction workers wear, around the set! |
