Video Sequence: Second Video Video Length: 3:51 Producer: Nigel Dick Setting: Paradise Cove in Malibu Beach, California. For the video however, the cove was given the name "Kenny's Cove" which is named after one of the production scouts of the video. Plot: This video is based almost entirely at the "love at first sight" theme. Lots of white and bright scenes was used to depict this, and the effect came off nicely. Britney using bioculars spots and falls in love with the guy running around on the beach with his dog, and becomes scared as to what he will do if she approaches him. She dreams of approaching him and being with him, in his arms (he carries her around in one scene) and just plain around him. The dream ends though the same way it began, as her fear overpowers her love. She walks away from the binoculars, and leaves the beach. Guest Appearances: The guy who is running around the beach with his dog is actually Chad Cole, a professional model who models Abercrombie and Fitch clothing, and various other things. He was chosen by Britney for the part in the video out of a ton of other guys. The dog that ran around with Chad on the set was also a guest. Her name is Hannah, and she belongs to the video producer. Accident: This video was where the infamous knee injury occured. During one take, she kicked her right leg up, and her left leg just gave in. She immediately was taken to the hospital, where the doctors performed arthroscopic surgery to repair torn cartilage in her knee. This accident, as bad as it was, provided Britney with some much needed rest and relaxation. That's something everyone needs from time to time. Early to Rise: Britney had to be up and completely ready to work on the video at 5:30AM. A lot of dedication and getting up real early goes into these videos, as you can see. Curious?: On the single to Sometimes, there is a song that Britney wrote herself called "I'm so Curious". It's a pretty good song, you can check out which versions of the single has it by click the discography link above. Shivering: Even though the atmosphere you see in the video looks nice and warm, the actual temperature of the area where the video was filmed was very very cold! Britney had to take breaks occasionally to put a jacket on to warm up a little bit. The scenes in the water weren't very forgiving either, especially since she was wearing flip-flops in near freezing water! |
