Video Sequence: Seventh Video (Lucky 7s) Video Length: 4:06 Video Shooting Time: 2 Days Video Filming Date(s): June 12-13th, 2000 Producer: David Meyers Setting: The setting is a present day movie studio, however the studio set's setting in the 1940s. Before we get all confused here, Ren-Mar Studios in Hollywood, California was used as the overall set for the Lucky shoot. Since Lucky is supposed to be a star, they had to use do something of a studio type stage for some of the scenes with Lucky, and then use a behind the scenes and awards set for the rest of the scenes. Sounds complicated? Watch the video and you'll see what I mean. Plot: Britney is the guardian angel of Lucky, a movie star who has everything, but is still not happy. In this video, Britney plays both herself and the mischievous Lucky. Britney watches what Lucky does from afar, and tries to help her out from time to time but it does no good. Lucky eventually wins a best actress award and then finds herself crying because she is still missing something (companionship) in her life. Guest Appearance: Nathan James plays the actor that sweeps Lucky off her feet during their little skit that involves the butler and the flowers and such. MTV Making the Video: You can check out 95 video captures from MTV's Making the Video : Lucky. A lot of good stuff is covered, as well as certain off-video interviews that are interesting. This aired July 12th, 2000 on MTV. Accident: During MTV Making the Video for Lucky, on the way down a small flight of stairs, Britney nearly slipped down them, but she regained her balance right before she slipped. Motion Capture: To make Britney and Lucky appear at the same time on the same screen, each part was shot separately using this Motion Capture technology. Hurry Up!: Britney had to shoot this video in two days time without fail, because her little sister Jamie Lynn had a dance recital in two days. Britney always values her family first, and she absolutely had to go see her "mini-me" in action. :) |
